This is a new moon that asks for simplicity.
There is no such thing as simple.
Everything is everything.
Complex, entangled, entwined, interpermeating.

This is a new moon that says yes to clarity.
The skies are full of smoke.
People are tripping. Vision obscured by padding from the extremes, bizarre fantasies of reptiles, reality tv.
Real priorities have been replaced by “productivity” and profits.
The channels are overflowing with garbage and misinformation.
There are multiple overlapping disasters. They’re getting worse.

This is a new moon that demands discernment and responsibility.
In order to get full breaths, we need the world around us and the other beings living here breathing fully too.
Our bodies are real. The earth is real. Air, water, fire are real.
Actually relating is different from speculating, projecting, defending, or fearing.
When it comes to the basics, we share more similarities than difference.

On this new moon day, I wish you peace of mind and heart. Wherever you are, may you have, locate, and remember support. May the end of this empire be a return and a remembering. May we elevate, uplift, follow, and support the leadership of those who’ve been navigating apocalypse for generations already. May we surrender our egos and put down petty and tired arguments. May we reevaluate and repattern our personal fragilities so that we can hold the fragility of our shared ecosystems with clarity and conscience.

I’ve honestly been surprised by how much the Virgo Season ritual has been with me these last few weeks. The guided meditation we did in it has continued to reveal to me many important answers and deepening questions that feel urgent and essential at this time and I’ve received feedback from several others that this journey has yielded similarly potent insight for them. The ritual recording is available for only another five days. If you’re interested in gaining insight into the current moment (which is, of course, a moment arising from the past, and significantly this season, many crucial processes of transformation that have been taking place over the last 12 years), then I hope you will enjoy this practice.

In this ritual workshop, we’ll focus on cultivating and honoring Virgo’s healing energy. As we work with Virgo through simple somatic awareness practices to help us orient and attune with the Virgo-ruled parts of our body, we’ll nourish and strengthen the parts of ourselves that resonate with Virgo’s archetypes of healers, priest/esses, organizers, and effective agents of devotional offering. Guidance will be offered for locating Virgo in your own chart and understanding how to understand its house placement and ruling planets.

Please join me this coming Tuesday to welcome Libra Season in.

As I’ve been working to prepare next month’s horoscopes and extended subscription materials, I am struck by the momentum that seems to be coming through in these upcoming 30 days. As this new moon is revealing, the time for change is now, and many of us (most of us?) are ready for it. How we work to navigate our ethics and equilibrium is key. In the Libra Season ritual we’ll come to practice at the altar of our embodied experience, letting the symbols of astrology guide us into explorations of intuition and memory. Simple somatic awareness practices will help us orient and attune with the Libra-ruled parts of our bodies. We'll balance and harmonize the parts of ourselves that resonate with Libra’s needs for collaborative partnerships, peacekeeping, beauty loving, and skillfully navigating relationship in a world full of opposition and difference. Guidance will be offered for locating Libra in your own chart and interpreting its house placement and ruling planets.

The astrological symbolism in 2020, 2021 and 2022 describes cataclysmic shifts in culture and society. The potentials of this time are great and urgent. We must work to align our efforts as individuals with greater collective needs for repatterning governance and justice systems, and rebalancing and re-orienting our systems of distribution and access to power and resources. In this 3-day intensive, you’ll learn the basics of working with signs, planets, houses and transits in Tropical Astrology. You’ll be guided to connect through embodiment and inner awareness with current planetary symbolism and will practice interpreting several of the major transits of 2020, 2021, and 2022 in aspect to your natal chart with a focus on cultivating deeper awareness and healing of ancestral trauma, strengthening your intuition and spiritual connections, disrupting scarcity thinking and fear mechanisms, channeling rage into effective action and systemic healing, liberating your relationships with money and resources, and envisioning and building new models for labor and relationship that are rooted in transformative justice, environmental resilience, and joy.
