On February 20th, as Saturn and Neptune conjoin at the first degree of Aries, we will cross a once-in-a-generation threshold where endings dissolve and new beginnings take form. 

In this workshop, astrologers, somatic practitioners, and community organizers Aziz Bisanz and Renee Sills will guide participants through the historic cycles of Saturn–Neptune conjunctions and the collective narratives that have shaped around them. We’ll explore the closing chapter of Saturn and Neptune in Pisces (2023-2026) and the emergence of an increasingly sensitized, globalized collective nervous system, along with invitations to cultivate and strengthen agency and choice within personal, relational, and societal spheres.

Participants will work directly with their natal charts to understand how Saturn and Neptune’s shift into Aries activates cycles of self-definition, initiation, and authentic expression. We’ll also take a special look at Eris in Aries and themes of discord, difference, softening, and survival that will intensify as Neptune approaches Eris in the years ahead.

Throughout the workshop, Aziz and Renee will offer somatic skill-building practices to support differentiation, attunement, and embodied self-awareness—cultivating the psychic steadiness needed for a future shaped by both collective tides and individual actualization.

Days before the Libra New Moon and the start of Scorpio Season, Mercury will conjunct Mars in Scorpio, setting the stage for its upcoming retrograde cycle. Throughout Scorpio Season, as Mercury returns to meet the Sun, they will hold a grand trine in water — with Jupiter, as it stations retrograde in Cancer, and Saturn as it stations direct in Pisces.

These influences portend a time of deep emotional excavation and energetic openings best accessed through conscious intensity, self-reflection, and concentrated efforts to increase our emotional and empathic range.

Timed to take place and hold space with this watery deluge, Embodied Astrology is honored to welcome Palestinian dancer and teacher Saed Mansour for a deep-dive into the political realms of embodied awareness. Using movement improvisation methods developed by Saed, participants will research and work with the social and political issues that are most pressing and potent in their own lives.

Saed Mansour is a performance artist, dance teacher, festival producer, and software engineer who creates spaces for emotional, communal, and social/political processes.

As a Palestinian with Israeli citizenship, Saed’s life is political not by choice, but bound by circumstances rooted deeply in his body and relationships. His work as a teacher and performer is driven by the need to confront and communicate the wounds carried in this generational trauma. Saed teaches, performs and facilitates in Palestine and Europe.

We'll meet on the day of the Leo New Moon as the moon opposes Pluto in Aquarius and the light is rising in Sagittarius to dive deep into planetary drama with one of Embodied Astrology's longtime friends and collaborators, Ramon Parish.

With Ramon's newly published book of visionary prose and poetry Drama of the Planets as our guide, we'll discuss channelled/intuitive poetics, mystical-creative processes, initiatory experiences, ancient futures and the planets as focal points for our inner mythologies. After a book reading and discussion with Ramon and Renee, participants will be invited into a poetic cosmo-narrative weaving practice using their own birth charts.

Ramon Parish is an associate professor of Interdisciplinary Studies at Naropa University, a multidisciplinary artist, father, friend and facilitator, and lifelong lover of the stars and planets. His scholarly, contemplative, creative and community interests range from rites of passage and initiation, dance and embodiment, creative ceremony, food and environmental justice, restorative and transformative justice, counter-cultural histories, pre/post modern cosmologies, Afrofuturism and collective liberation.

Renee Sills is the founder of Embodied Astrology, a second generation astrologer, intuitive and somatic educator whose work integrates mysticism, bodywork, ritual and participatory art. Let’s meet in the thick of Cancer Season while the moon is waxing gibbous in Scorpio to hold space and care for what’s here, in our hearts, bodies, and lives.

We’re overjoyed to welcome our dear friend, colleague and soul-sibling Junauda Petrus back to one of her many homes here at Embodied Astrology. In this special session, Junauda and Ren will take turns offering prompts to embody, contemplate and create with Cancerian energetics. We’ll work with practices they’ve each cultivated to support them personally through big feelings, trying times, when bonds feel tender, and when uncertainties abound.
