At The Heart of Conflict: Study Group Series
How does conflict bring you to the edges of your capacity in relationship?
Do you often shut down or blow up during conflict, when what you really want is to connect?
Do the same arguments keep playing out, even when you try to respond differently?
Do you believe in the importance of communicating across our differences, but get stuck in a pattern of activation when difference feels threatening?
In your efforts to heal, do you consume a lot of content and theory for managing conflict, yet still find yourself under-resourced to shift the patterns you’re in?
We’ve found there are plenty of tools and ideas for navigating conflict, but few spaces offering real-time practice - beyond theory, beyond ideals - where we can get curious about our active conflicts, and build the skills we need for relational repair.

Join Ren from Embodied Astrology and our special guest Stephan Hoda to celebrate the Gemini New Moon. We’re hosting a community conversation and neurospicy, tangential storytime where we’ll play a verbal version of connect-the-dots with some storylines from Stephan’s natal chart and current astrology, ancient mythology, water systems science, middle school education and some standout archetypes of the horror genre including vampires, witches, Creature from the Black Lagoon and “the last girl.”
This event is free for our Somatic Space members or otherwise available by sliding scale. A portion of this event’s proceeds will be redistributed to The Florida Springs Institute, working to protect Florida’s springs through science and education. No one turned away for lack of funds. About Stephan Hoda
Stephan Hoda (he/they) is a 7th grade Science and Classical Mythology teacher in Portland, OR, and the associate director of the Queer Screams Film Festival. In both capacities, Stephan serves as an educator who believes in the power of story. Stephen has been teaching for 10 years and is celebrating their first year with Queer Screams (QSFF), an LGBTQ genre film festival showcasing productions from filmmakers around the world to underscore the cultural significance of horror to Queer communities. Stephan graduated from University of South Florida, with degrees in Classics and Religious Studies.

Astrology & Revolutions with Laura Chung
2025’s astrological landscape features multiple signatures of revolution, rebellion and uprising, which can be seen through examining past planetary cycles that correspond with our present moment. However, every era is different and no two planetary cycles will manifest the same outcomes. In this special conversation with Laura Chung, we’ll learn about her research and interests in revolution and uprising, and how she sees current astrology reflecting themes of the past and illuminating possibilities for the future. Archetypes can never be exhausted. And, it is up to us to call forth their “other faces” and invoke different expressions of these powerful collective energies which are life-sustaining and life-affirming.
In this devotional series, we will explore together the feminine/femme face of the Saturn archetype and its many gifts.
Following 2023’s Gravity & Grace series, we journey deeper into Saturn’s Mystery School as it moves through the primordial depths of Pisces. In 2024, the full Saturn retrograde cycle will be our collective alembic as we conduct a “close read”– a living contemplation of the degrees that Saturn will traverse during the astrological year (March 2024 - March 2025).
Through deep listening accompanied by community, somatic inquiry, and intuitive contemplation of your natal chart, you will have the opportunity to receive and share the wisdom transmissions and teachings of Saturn.
Over the course of ~12 months, we will offer ourselves to Saturn through five cycles consisting of a live opening council, followed by a 4-part devotional cycle (council + reflect, release, rest). Our journey will conclude with a closing council in March 2025.
All live council sessions are open to the public & available for drop-in registration.
