Faculty at Embodied Astrology

Since 2020, Embodied Astrology has been excitedly transitioning into a multi-voice platform, held by a collective of caring, creative and talented folks with whom we’ve been cultivating collaborative relationships. As artists and organizers first, our facilitators conduct astrological exploration through the lens of other disciplines like art, healing and collective liberation.

GABZ 404 is a brazilian non-binary trans multi-artist, activist, and works mainly with photography and video, on the artistic and documentary areas. In photography, they have been working with greater presence since 2019. Uniting digital and analogue photography they establish in the present a fusion point between past and future. Autonomously, they research how gender dissidences challenge and destabilize the status quo.

They are the creator of Ser Trans, a co-authored visual storytelling project that represents and celebrates the beauty and power of trans and nonbinary people through photographic essays and interviews. It also serves as a collection that preserves the history and memory of the trans community. Gabz has been awarded and participated in different exhibitions. Their work was published in zines and books and he participated in different exhibitions. As a videomaker, director of photography and video editor, their most significant work is the feature "Intransitive: a documentary about trans stories" (2022).

As an astrologer, they do one-on-one readings to clients and occupies the position of Audiovisual Creative Director at Embodied Astrology, where they curate and edit images and videos. In 2022 they graduated in SomaSource Life Cycles Practitioner Training program by Golden Bridge (Boulder, CO, USA) and worked as an English-Portuguese translator in the same organization for two years.


JUNAUDA PETRUS is a writer, a soul sweetener, runaway witch, and performance artist of Black-Caribbean descent, born and working on unceded Dakota land in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her work centers around pleasure, wildness, queerness, Black-diasporic-futurism, ancestral healing, sweetness and liberation. Her first YA novel, The Stars and The Blackness Between Them received a Coretta Scott King Honor Award. She is the co-founder with Erin Sharkey of Free Black Dirt a Black, experimental healing art collective.  She is a Jerome 2021-2022 Artist Fellow in Literature. She is currently working on several projects including her second novel Black Circus, writing a puppet show and adapting her first book into a feature film.


RAMON GABRIELOFF-PARISH is a lifelong star gazer, Afrofuturist philosopher, practicing astrologer, social artist and creative ceremonialist. His current project is to utilize the many outer planetary alignments of the 2020's as catalysts for imaginal, collaborative and institutional transformation.

In his day job as a chair of Naropa University’s Interdisciplinary Studies department he focuses on the intersections of equity and sustainability through courses on food and environmental justice. He also teaches foundations in contemplative learning and theory, embodiment, social identity, and conflict transformation.

Ramon is committed to community, cultural and cosmic regeneration, through his consulting work with Once and Future Green and with organizations like Golden Bridge, Youth Passageways and recently as board chair of Frontline Farming.


RENEE SILLS is a multidisciplinary artist, author, astrologer, educator, and founder of Embodied Astrology. They are a second generation astrologer and lifelong student of somatic healing practices. They hold a BFA in Intermedia & Cyber Art and an MFA in Contemporary Art in Social Practice and approach their work with astrology and embodiment as processes of ritual performance and participatory art. The throughline of their work is ongoing investigation of interrelatedness, spirituality, mindfulness, creative agency, and the adaptive processes of the human body in contemporary landscapes of the anthropocene. 

Renee has worked as consulting astrologer since 2014 and has read for thousands of clients. In addition to individual readings, they offer monthly and yearly sign-based horoscopes and collective readings, and they tend the Embodied Astrology virtual learning space – a vibrant and growing online community that celebrates and explores creative, experiential, fugitive, feminist, and somatic forms of astrology. SHERRI TAYLOR is a mystic, dream worker/walker, end-of-life doula, and writer.  She is deeply and passionately interested in the “being” of being human. An apprentice to Spirit, Sherri is happiest when serving her community by curating spaces where people can claim themselves as Beloved and are in profound contact with the expansiveness of their own humanity.

She is guardian of the soulstudiolab and Black Womxn's Dream Lab. After completing Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology Sherri committed to an "education of the heart.”  She has engaged in ongoing personal inquiry into contemplative and mystic traditions, mediumship, divination practices, traditional astrology, and dream work as spiritual exploration and liberatory practice. Her learning has been through formal course work, personal study, and direct experience. All of Sherri’s life experiences have provided a sturdy container in which to develop, hold, and grow her ancestral medicine and spiritual gifts. She is called to offer these in the service of love, justice, belonging, and community for the highest good of all concerned.
