Repatterning our Relationships to Wealth & Value: Embodied Astrology & Ritual for the New Moon in Taurus - May 4, 2019
Portland for the Taurus New Moon - May 4, 2019
Ahhhhh. Changes.
Oh my, change is hard. There’s no way to grow without change, and life doesn’t stay still on one place. So change we must. Sometimes it’s exciting and liberating, but shit. It’s really not so easy all the time!
I want to say thank your patience while Embodied Astrology is under construction! Over the last few months you’ve seen the evolution of this website (thanks to the design skills of Ash Good) and the podcast format has been reshaping itself. The audio horoscopes are back, in slightly longer monthly editions. And now, for the full and new moons I’m freed up to play around a bit. I’m making more art (like the lunar portrait above) and I’ll be offering rituals, meditations and other creative embodiments as well as guest interviews and conversations.
It feels scary and exciting to change, and I really appreciate all of your feedback and support as I’m figuring it out. For the most, I’m a one-woman show, and I do all the production for EA. I am not an audio engineer or a social media specialist or a content/brand strategist though, and sometimes things feel a little chaotic over here. It’s a learn-as-I-go kind of thing, so, thanks for sticking with me :)
However…chaos, growth and weird changes are what’s on the menu for this new moon! With Uranus’ recent entry, the sign of slow-growth and repetition (Taurus) gets shaken up. Uranus needs liberation and innovation. It pushes us forward and into the unknown. If we resist its impulses, our life energy gets stagnant and stuck. How we work with this planet’s invitation to change is by leaning into the discomfort of unknowing and by taking risks that may or may not be calculated. Uranus wants innovation and experimentation. It reminds us that the outcome is never something we can predict and that there is always opportunity in chaos.
In the last 12 days, the sun and moon have both come into exact conjunction with Uranus, bringing our conscious awareness to what’s shifting. You may have had recent insights (or other kinds of agitation) surrounding the current needs for change, and the impulse for evolution is probably pushing through your body and relationships of all kinds. As the moon separates from the sun today, it forms a trine to Pluto and Saturn in Capricorn. If things are falling apart right now, try to trust that there’s a method to the madness. Meditate on your deepest intention for growth. Trust that the Godexxx works in mysterious ways. None of us can possibly know now what the outcomes will be, but many of us know that there’s no choice but to step forward and towards the shifts that are calling us.
In today’s podcast I look at these changes, and then offer a guided meditation and writing ritual for working with this new moon energy.
In your month-ahead horoscopes for Taurus Season I take an in-depth look at where these changes are happening, specific to your sign. Find them here
New moon love to you and yours,
Renee
