An Embodied Astrology workshop with Renee Sills
This is a recording of a live workshop that took place during Aquarius season 2022.
In this workshop, Renee offers a body-based creative writing/drawing practice that explores attitudes and energies which no longer serve personal or collective evolution but must be seen and supported before they can transform.
Aquarius Season in 2022 is shaped by the transits of Mars and retrograde Venus and Mercury in Capricorn. These influences pull us back to the past, asking for remembrance, reckoning, and repair in order to move forward. As the Sun travels through Aquarius (Jan 19 - Feb 18) it will square Uranus and the Nodal Axis and form a conjunction with Saturn. The tension between what is known and unknown is emphasized. Can we imagine futures beyond the decay and environmental collapse of late-stage capitalism? As we sense into healing born from resistance to violent paradigms of supremacy and disregard – what is waiting, transforming, shifting, and emerging?
On January 23rd, Mercury forms its inferior (retrograde) conjunction with the Aquarius Sun two days before it re-enters the sign Capricorn. This aspect invites us to pause and reflect on our strategies and trajectories and to hold the tension of the present moment in ways that open and expand awareness into the past and the future.
In this 2.5 hour workshop, Renee will give an overview of Aquarius Season’s main astrological transits with prompts and suggestions for working with your own natal chart and placements. To assist in integrating and working with the astrological information, she’ll offer a body-based creative writing/drawing practice that explores attitudes and energies which no longer serve personal or collective evolution but must be seen and supported before they can transform.
This workshop is open to all, and all levels of astrological experience.
